LANG LANG was born in Shenyang, China in 1982, began studying piano at the age of three years Conservatory of Music in Shenyang. In 1987, five years old he won first prize in the Shenyang Piano Competition and gives his first public recital.

He assumed his duties as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF with a visit to Tanzania. Concert tours in Australia and New Zealand.
